Commuting from Haslemere

Haslemere has a train station which offers service to London Waterloo in around 50-55 minutes. Haslemere to Guildford takes just 16 minutes, and you can reach the South Coast (Portsmouth Harbour) in 41 minutes.

There is easy access by road to London and the South Coast, with the A3 offering direct access to both. The addition of the Hindhead Tunnel, which opened in 2011, really eased congestion in the area, allowing for a continual route on the A3, and bypassing the village of Hindhead.

Where are the best places to buy in Haslemere?

For proximity to the station, consider Shepherd's Hill which houses a number of characterful Victorian/Edwardian homes.

The leafy area of Tennysons Lane is one of the most desirable roads in Haslemere. Within walking disctance to the centre, the properties tend to be larger detached houses with good sized gardens. The proximity to scenic Black Down (National Trust) is also a huge draw.

Both Camelsdale and Shottermill are popular with families with young children due to the proximity to local schools and amenities.

For those happy to be a short drive from Haslemere itself but wanting a "village vibe", consider the villages of Grayshott, Fernhurst and Chiddingfold.
