We are often asked for recommendations on local schools - especially at this time of year when parents start looking into the applications process.

I am Joanna, founder and owner of Rise Above Consultancy (riseaboveconsultancy.co.uk). Rise Above supports families relocating to and within the UK in the search for the right school for their child. I carry out all the research that you as parents would normally do, if you were living in the local area. I work with families who have children aged 4 – 11, including those transitioning through to senior school. Rise Above specialises in finding the best schools in Surrey, Sussex and Hampshire for your child.
After an initial consultation to establish your search area and requirements, I will suggest the appropriate package for you. Having visited the schools on your behalf I will present you with a written report containing a short list of schools that meet your criteria. I can then guide you through the application process.
I offer a bespoke service designed to meet each family’s needs, specialising in preparing students for school entrance exams at 7+ and 11+. I have a 100% success rate of placing students at the school of their choice. I also support families looking to place their child in the State system. All tuition pupils working towards their SATs tests achieve higher than average scores.
It may be that you already have a school in mind, in which case, I can support you in the application process for that school. I can also provide alternative suggestions for schools that you had not yet considered.
One-to-one tuition may be suggested to either ease the transition into the UK schooling system, or to prepare a child for exams and school entrance interviews.
Knowing that your child is happy and settling into the right school for them makes it easier for you as parents to focus on the new and exciting challenges of relocation.
