We started July with a completion for our client on a very exciting purchase. Our client had been independently searching for a property for almost a year before instructing Surrey HomeSearch, but had been unable to secure a house: Constantly up against numerous other buyers and not being local to the area, they were not always able to view properties before they went under offer. Within a few weeks of instructing Surrey HomeSearch, we had sourced an off-market property that ticked all of the boxes for our client. Following a successful preview of the property, a lot of research, discussion with local planners and a further in-person viewing with our client (plus some solid negotiation) we were able to secure the property prior to it going to market. Set in an absolutely stunning location and with so much potential, we are absolutely delighted for our client and cannot wait to see what they will do to the house.
We also began searching on behalf of clients who are based overseas in Singapore. The brief: A characterful property within the catchment area of Guildford County School (which undoubtedly has one of the tightest school catchment areas). Surrey HomeSearch were able to source several off market properties within the area, and secured our clients a wonderful family house a stone’s throw from the school! By providing feedback to our clients via a series of videos and live video viewings, our clients were able to “view” and secure the property from overseas, saving our clients valuable time in making numerous trips to Guildford from Singapore.
Most recently, Surrey HomeSearch were delighted to help our clients celebrate the Completion of their home in West Clandon. Our clients were not familiar with Surrey at all, and relied on our advice for the most appropriate areas to suit their requirements. Surrey HomeSearch were able to preview and shortlist properties, as well as present video tours of the local vicinity to ensure that the location ticked every box. We really enjoyed our packed days touring the most suitable properties in the Surrey villages with our clients and showing them some of our favourite Surrey spots along the way! Having previously missed out when two previous properties fell through due to a change in the vendors circumstances, we were thrilled to have helped our clients across the line with this purchase - third time lucky! We know they will be very happy in their new home.
